PPIS Policy Innovation Challenge
The IEEE NSU PES Student Branch Chapter, in collaboration with the
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the IEEE NSU
Student Branch, invites future energy leaders, researchers, and
young innovators to the Power Policy Innovation Challenge. This
year's theme is connecting rural and community grids with
microgrids.
The challenge brings together young minds to identify pressing
problems in Bangladesh's power sector and develop practical,
affordable, technically feasible, and policy-oriented solutions.
Teams should bridge the gap between technology and policy,
balancing technical feasibility, economic viability, scalability,
and real-world implementation. Solutions can draw on solar, wind,
biogas, hydro, and battery storage, and may cover areas such as
irrigation, community and urban energy systems, EV charging,
agrivoltaics, and floating solar.
